The refreshing face of the electronica scene, Wantigga AKA Jonathan Tan, is not your usual music producer. A lifelong musician with a flair for creating unique sounds, Wantigga has the melodic knowledge at his core, creating dancefloor anthems with a soulful touch.

Emerging from the soundcloud golden days, Wantigga’s productions caught the attention of fans worldwide as well as support from labels like Soulection, HW&W and Roche Musique. For Belgium rapper Damso he produced the track ‘Lové’, which was awarded with a platinum status in France.

At the same time Wantigga was touring in Europe and Asia, playing at festivals such as Lowlands, Pukkelpop, Orbit and Mysteryland and DJ’ing in venues such as Razzmatazz (ESP), Circus (JPN), Skatecafé (NL) and many many more.

Wantigga’s sound can be described as modern UK Garage with influences from house, hiphop and club music. Mixing his own productions with tunes he picks up from his travels, Wantigga makes sure he keeps the party moving.

Alongside touring and producing for other artists, Wantigga is closely involved with the Herman Brood Academie in Utrecht, where he teaches music production. He also gives masterclasses and coaching sessions, sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation of artists.

As co-founder of music community Stroom, Wantigga helps build a platform for emerging artists within his local scene. By offering studio space through residencies and organising knowledge-sharing sessions, creatives connect and grow in Deventer — Wantigga’s hometown.
